The legendary Brazilian footballer Rivaldo, who once played for "Bunyodkor" and was a national champion with the team in 2008, 2009, and 2010, gave valuable advice to Lamin Yamal, the leader of "Barcelona" and one of the youngest stars of modern football. According to him, Yamal's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or next year are very high.
In an interview with Spain's Sport.es, Rivaldo said:
"Laminda has all the necessary qualities to win the Ballon d'Or next year. I expect his current season to be much brighter and more effective than the previous one. Yamal should not limit himself to just showing his playing style to the whole world. He should regularly score many goals and increase assists to his teammates. Previously, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi also achieved great heights in this way," he emphasized.
It is known that Rivaldo himself was recognized as the best footballer of the year in 1999 while playing for "Milan" and received the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
We recall that at the 2025 Ballon d'Or ceremony, Lamin Yamal took second place. This year's award went to PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé.
Thus, Rivaldo's advice can serve not only as moral support for Yamal but also as a roadmap towards new goals. If the young talent directs his attention and effort correctly, it is not unlikely that next season he will become the next winner of the Ballon d'Or.
