Sherzod Igamberdiyev, Head of the National Teams Department of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), expressed his gratitude to his colleagues on social media and shared his unique experience. In his address, Igamberdiyev highlighted the significant achievements of the Uzbekistan national teams in the international arena and spoke about the most important work within the framework of the UFA programs.
"Through FIFA programs, AFC and UEFA programs, we have achieved many successes. In addition, thanks to the "Dustlik" project of the Center of National Teams of Uzbekistan, numerous friendly matches organized for men's, women's, youth, and junior national teams, visas, orders, and memorandums, great successes have been achieved. We made a good noise, guys. I wish you good luck. You are the best!!! ," Igamberdiyev wrote.
According to him, the national teams of Uzbekistan are the best association in Asia, and such successes as Asian champions U17 in 2025, Asian champions U20 in 2023, and qualification for the Olympics (for the first time in history) and the FIFA World Cup (for the first time in history) were of great importance.
Following these achievements, Sherzod Igamberdiyev expressed his deep gratitude to the football community, saying, "I wish the team good luck." He also emphasized the painful departure, the impossibility of staying "when such events are happening." This behavior noted that the team members had come a long way and, nevertheless, deserved better treatment.
"You could have quietly agreed and gone with the flow, for awards and photos. However, I love this team very much and value our country very much. Therefore - no. "I will not be part of this circus!," said Sherzod Igamberdiyev. In his opinion, it is more important to work with enthusiasm and remain committed to football than to be part of this circus. For Igamberdiyev, this decision is a desire to contribute to the team members and raise our country even higher.
Sherzod Igamberdiyev's appeal once again confirmed his confidence and respect for the future of Uzbek football.
