Gvardiola's advice from her former assistant: it's time to look for a new challenge

Former Manchester City assistant manager Carlisse Planchart has advised Pep Guardiola to pursue a new call-up. The Catalan specialist, who has been working in England since 2016, created the brightest period in the club's history, winning 18 trophies with the "citizens." The contract is valid until 2027.

Planchart emphasized that "no project should last more than 5-6 years, after which fresh air and invigoration are necessary. As a friend, I advise him to try his hand at something else, because Pep still has a lot to do," he told Sport.

Before his retirement, Guardiola expressed his desire to manage the national team and participate in a major forum: "I want to host the national team at the World Cup or European Championship. I don't know which country, but I would like such an opportunity," he said.

After achieving great success at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Pep also established dominance in England: winning the Premier League title 6 times, the FA Cup 2 times, and the League Cup 4 times. In the 2022/23 season, a historic result was achieved - for the first time the Champions League trophy and the "treble."

For now, Guardiola will remain at Etihad and aim to further increase the number of titles. However, the former assistant's words revived the debate about Pep's future: is the new lineup a new challenge or to continue his glory at City? Time will tell.
