Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé recalled his memories at PSG in a recent interview, mentioning the time he played alongside Leo Messi as one of the brightest moments of his life. Currently, Messi is playing for Inter Miami in the USA.
"When talking about football history, undoubtedly, the name of Messi comes to mind immediately. Even in the dressing room, he was a very simple, sincere person. Fame can change a person, but Leo wasn't like that - he always remained modest, respectful, and sincere," said Mbappe.
The French star emphasized that being on the same team with Messi not only provided him with extensive experience but also allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the game.
"As a footballer, he was incomparable. If there is such a person in your team, each of his actions is worth studying. He taught me how to think with the ball on the field," he added.
Mbappé also stated that he never dreamed of playing alongside Messi:
"I always thought Leo would spend his entire life at Barcelona. I dreamed of playing for Real Madrid. But it was fate that I had the opportunity to be on the same team with him. This was a real honor for me, and moreover, a unique experience."
Mbappe concluded the conversation:
"I can only thank Messi. Playing with him was one of the biggest opportunities in my career."
