Kazakhstan’s “Khan-Tengri” club striker Dias Tuleu died during a match, reports sports.kz. The 19-year-old footballer passed away during the 25th round game of the First League.
According to reports, the tragedy occurred during the match between “Khan-Tengri” and “Ekibastuz”. Although the game ended 4:0, it was stopped due to the incident. In the second half, Dias Tuleu began to feel unwell and lost consciousness within seconds.
Medical staff on the field provided urgent assistance, but despite their efforts, it was impossible to save his life. The incident happened right on the pitch.
Later, the country’s Football Federation officially confirmed Tuleu’s death and expressed condolences to his family and relatives. “This is a great loss for all of Kazakh football. Despite his young age, Dias had great potential,” the statement said.
It was revealed that Dias Tuleu was a graduate of the “Kairat” football academy, one of Kazakhstan’s leading clubs. This season, he played 25 matches for “Khan-Tengri” and scored 3 goals.
Football teams, coaches, and fans commemorated the young athlete on social media. Many remembered him as a disciplined, hardworking, and team-oriented player.
Local media reported that a medical examination was ordered to determine the cause of death. Preliminary findings suggest that the footballer may have died from a sudden cardiac failure.
