"Qizilqum" head coach: "Red card and penalty decided the fate of the game"

Following the conclusion of the 25th round match against Pakhtakor (3-0), Qizilqum's head coach, Akmal Rustamov, answered journalists' questions at a press conference, Upl reports.

The coach emphasized that the team had prepared seriously for the game, but the fate of the match remained tied to situations that were decided early.

"We prepared thoroughly for today's match. I think the first penalty and the red card had a big impact on the game. Despite this, the guys tried, I thank them for such a spirit. "Now we will analyze this game and begin preparations for the match against Dynamo," said Akmal Rustamov.

Journalists also asked the coach about the results of recent matches. In response to comments about "Kyzylkum" losing points after several consecutive defeats, Rustamov said:

"I disagree with this opinion. We don't have two full squads; some key players are injured. For example, Vakhobov only returned to the field today. We will still fight to the maximum for the top spots. And next season, we want to give young people more opportunities."

He also commented on coach Islom Kenjaboyev. According to him, the player has not fully recovered from the injury:

"Last season, while playing for Nasaf, Kenjaboyev suffered an injury and underwent surgery. He still feels pain. If his health doesn't deteriorate, he will return to the field in the next matches. He is a very important player for our team."

Regarding the penalty kicks, Rustamov expressed his doubts about the second shot:

"The awarded penalties need to be reviewed, as I have doubts about the existence of a second penalty. I haven't seen the situation in the video replay yet. But you know, a penalty is a lottery."

At the end of the conference, the coach also commented on the rest of the championship:

"Currently, many teams are left without a goal and are losing motivation. But we don't have this situation. Young men have good psychological preparation. If our injured players return to the lineup as soon as possible, we will continue to fight for the top spots at the end of the championship," said Akmal Rustamov.

As can be seen from the Qizilqum coach's words, the team maintained confidence and team spirit regardless of the results. They plan to continue playing in high spirits in their upcoming matches.
