Jose Mourinho explains Benfica's 0-3 defeat

Benfica head coach Jose Mourinho commented after the 0-3 Champions League defeat to Newcastle. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

At a press conference, Mourinho said Newcastle's level is high. He noted that his team couldn't withstand the opponent's speed and lost compactness during the game. According to him, Newcastle's second goal was a psychological blow to the Portuguese players.

Mourinho highlighted Anthony Gordon as the best player of the match. He noted that Newcastle has fast and strong wing-forwards.

Currently, Benfica hasn't scored a single point after three rounds. The team is currently ranked 34th in the Champions League.

In the next round, the Portuguese will host Bayer Leverkusen.
