"Football is just football. Eleven players are still playing against eleven, and the field itself hasn't changed. Only the game is evolving, it's a natural process. Yes, the teams are executing outs like corner balls, gathering ten players in the penalty area, putting pressure on the opponent.
We struggled this way against Brentford. Even Liverpool found themselves in a rather difficult situation when playing against this style. Modern football has entered such a direction.
Standard situations have always been and remain dangerous. We are seriously studying this aspect, knowing that there is an opportunity for the opponent behind every corner or out. I feel that if we control the game well, such opportunities for the opponents will significantly decrease," said Josep Guardiola.
The specialist emphasized that in modern football, every small detail can determine victory. Therefore, the City team analyzes every move of the opponent and prepares in advance for each standard situation.
