Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior has apologized for the angry reaction he showed after being substituted, but in his statement he did not mention coach Xabi Alonso. This indicates there is a conflict between the player and the coach.
Spain’s Sport publication has published an article about Vinicius’ future. It reported that the Brazilian footballer is planning to leave the team next summer if Xabi Alonso remains as Real’s head coach.
According to sources, it is almost impossible to restore the relationship between Vinicius and Alonso. The player accuses the coach of being indifferent and unfair towards him, especially since he dislikes the fact that Mbappe, who has become Real president Florentino Perez’s new favorite, is being treated differently.
Vinicius Junior’s current contract with Real runs until mid-2027. It is also reported which club the player would prefer to join if he leaves Real.
