This result is not only a figure, but also indicates the growth of the country's sports potential. Today, a solemn award ceremony was held in the building of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan. At the event, the athletes and their coaches who took the podium were awarded one-time state cash prizes.
The event was attended by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Sport, Odil Abdurakhmanov, the leadership of the Ministry of Sport, officials of the NOC, winners and prize-winners, as well as their parents.
In his speech, Odil Abdurakhmanov congratulated the young athletes and noted that their diligence and willpower are a source of pride for the country:
"You are the future champions. Raising the country's flag high in the international arena is the dream of every athlete. Behind these successes lie dedication, discipline, and the work of mentors," he said.
During the ceremony, the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia was solemnly raised. This symbolic move means that Uzbekistan will host the upcoming Asian Youth Games. The flag was installed in the building of the National Olympic Committee, marking the beginning of a new historical stage for our country.
Among our young athletes, those who participated in gymnastics, swimming, boxing, wrestling, and track and field achieved great success. According to sports experts, this result will become an important factor in preparing for adult sports in subsequent Olympic cycles.
Coaches and heads of federations emphasized that the next goal is to repeat the results achieved at the Youth Games in competitions among adults, to provide comprehensive support to young athletes, and to create modern conditions for them.
Thus, the youth games in Bahrain ended not only with victories, but also with new motivation and confidence for the future of Uzbek sports. And the fans are confident that our young champions will raise our flag high in the upcoming competitions.
