Last Tuesday, the winner of the prestigious Golden Boy award, given to the best young footballer in Europe, was announced. This award is given annually by the Tuttosport newspaper to footballers under the age of 21.
In 2025, this award was claimed by PSG winger Désiré Doué. Last season, Désiré won all trophies with his team, including the Champions League cup.
In the tournament final, PSG defeated Inter 5:0, and Doué scored twice. The Golden Boy award was first introduced in 2003.
In the last five years, the award has been given to Pedri, Gavi, Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, and now Désiré Doué.
