Xabi Alonso: "Real" lacked clarity


Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso shared his thoughts on the reasons behind his team’s defeat in the Champions League match against Liverpool. In the fourth round of the group stage, Real lost away with a minimal score of 0-1.

"I don't think our team lacked intensity. We fought well; it was an extremely difficult match.

I do not intend to criticize the team, but in the final third we lacked precision," Alonso said in his interview with "Madrid Xtra". Currently, Real holds fifth place in the Champions League group table with 9 points.

In the next round, Real will play away against Olympiacos.
