After it became clear that the Tashkent club "Pakhtakor" will participate in the Asian Champions League next season, they began to seriously strengthen their squad. It turned out that the club management's main focus is on experienced players who have proven themselves in the local championship.
According to reliable sources, the leaders of the Karshi "Nasaf" team - defender Sherzod Nasrullayev and midfielder Oybek Bozorov will soon part ways with the team. Their contracts expire at the end of 2025, and the players are expected to join Pakhtakor as free agents.
It has been reported that the Tashkent club has completed negotiations with both players, and the parties have almost reached an agreement on their terms. Thus, "Pakhtakor" plans to start the new season with two experienced and tested players.
The 27-year-old left-back, Sherzod Nasrullayev, is a Nasaf academy graduate and has been playing for the Qarshi club for the past seven years. He made 20 appearances in the Super League this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
28-year-old Oybek Bozorov is also a product of the "Nasaf" academy. He became one of the team's key leaders as a midfielder, playing in the starting lineup since 2018. This season, he recorded 4 goals and 11 assists in 23 games - making him one of the most effective midfielders in the league.
The addition of these two players to Pakhtakor is expected to enhance the team's chances in domestic and international competitions next season. The goal of the team's management is not only to win the Super League, but also to participate worthily in the Asian Champions League.
