“It will be a very interesting game. I’m really looking forward to it, because even when I wasn’t working in the Premier League, I used to watch this match on TV. These games are considered true classics of English football,” Slot said.
According to the coach, matches between Liverpool and Manchester City almost always meet the expectations of the fans. “These teams deliver what people expect in nine out of ten cases. That’s why everyone waits for such games with excitement,” he emphasized.
Slot also praised Pep Guardiola’s teams. “What I like about Pep’s teams is that they always play the kind of football you hope for. They never waste time and avoid the unnecessary elements of modern football that I increasingly dislike,” the Liverpool coach added.
