Real loses key player for two weeks


Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde sustained an injury during the Week 12 La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano (0-0) and will be unable to assist his team for the next two weeks. According to official club sources, the Uruguayan player has suffered damage to the semimembranosus muscle in his right leg.

Spanish media reports that the player's recovery is expected to take two weeks. Real Madrid currently leads the Spanish league standings with 31 points this season.

Valverde has played 12 matches in La Liga this season for Real Madrid, providing four assists.
