Lamin Yamal excluded from the Spanish national team

Barcelona forward Lamin Yamal has been excluded from the Spanish national team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. This was reported by the national team’s press office.

Yamal will be unable to assist the Spanish national team due to medical reasons. The player underwent medical treatment for discomfort in the pelvic area, but this procedure was not coordinated with the national team’s medical staff.

As a result, Yamal has been removed from the squad and will need 7-10 days to recover. Luis de la Fuente’s team will face Georgia away on November 15 in the fifth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. On November 18, they will host Turkey at home.
