Messi wrote on his social media page: “Last night, I returned to the place I missed with all my heart. I came back to where I was endlessly happy, where you made me feel like the happiest person in the world a thousand times. I hope that someday I can return again.”
His words moved Barcelona fans deeply. Many remember well that he never had a chance to officially say goodbye to the club. In 2021, he left the team due to financial problems.
