As part of their rigorous preparation for the AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, the Uzbekistan U-23 national team played their next test match against the South Korea youth team.
The match took place at the “Chengdu Sichuan” stadium, providing both teams with an opportunity to test their final preparations ahead of the tournament. While this was not an official competition match, both sides gave their utmost effort to secure victory.
Led by Ravshan Khaydarov, the Uzbekistan youth team could not overcome their opponents and suffered a 0-2 defeat. During the match, the Korean players dominated ball possession and scored two goals in the second half.
On the Uzbekistan team, Murkayev took the field as the goalkeeper. The starting lineup also included Khamidov, Khayrullayev, Tukhsanov, Rahimov, Rejabaliyev, Tulkunbekov, Karimov, Abdullayev, Ibraimov, and Khaydarov. Throughout the game, the Uzbekistan team played actively in terms of tactics, creating several dangerous attacks but failing to find the back of the net. Meanwhile, the Korean team maintained control through their high-speed gameplay and coordinated teamwork.
The coaching staff used this match to assess the team’s condition and is planning to make adjustments in certain positions ahead of the AFC Asian Cup.
