Ederson explains reason for leaving Manchester City

Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Ederson Moraes has revealed his reasons for leaving Manchester City. According to the goalkeeper, every era eventually comes to an end, and after playing for the same club for eight years, he felt the need for a new environment.

"When the offer from Fenerbahçe came, I accepted it. I had tried to leave the team last season as well, but it did not happen.

I needed these changes badly. Even if you're playing for a big and winning team, if you're not happy, that kind of play is pointless," the footballer said in an interview with Goal.

Additionally, Ederson spoke about the injuries that have troubled him in recent times, which have hindered his ability to play at full strength. Currently, the goalkeeper has an active contract with the Turkish club until June 30, 2028.
