A new wave has begun in Qatari football - Al-Sadd has introduced experienced Italian specialist Roberto Mancini as the team's new head coach. According to the club's official statement, the 60-year-old coach will begin work under a two-and-a-half-year contract, aiming to take the team to a new level.
Mancini's name in the football world holds special reverence. During his career, he achieved a number of successes with Inter, led Manchester City to one of the highest places in England, and also won trophies with Zenit. One of the most important pages is the time when he revived the Italian national team and led it to the championship at Euro 2020.
The most recent place of work of the famous coach was the Saudi Arabian national team, where he worked from August 2023 to October 2024. Mancini's experience in Arab football is also considered a big plus for Al-Sadd.
