Mbappe Says 400 Goals Are Not Enough to Make History

Kylian Mbappé, the forward for Real Madrid, scored the 400th goal of his career during the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification match between the national teams of France and Ukraine (4-0). The 26-year-old footballer netted a brace in this game, with his second goal marking his 400th at the professional level.

"Such figures should not surprise anyone. I want to leave a mark in football history, and for that, I need to score at least 400 more goals.

We know one player who has scored over 950 goals (Ronaldo), and another who has nearly 900 goals (Messi). Scoring 400 goals is not enough to join the ranks of truly awe-inspiring achievements," Mbappé said in a post-match interview.

On Sunday, the French national team will face Azerbaijan in an away match.
