Barcelona may target Alvarez as Lewandowski replacement

Argentine national team and Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez may continue his career at another Spanish football giant. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 25-year-old player has attracted interest from FC Barcelona.

The "Blaugrana" management sees Alvarez as a suitable replacement for 37-year-old Polish forward Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski's contract expires in the summer of next year.

Alvarez's transfer fee is estimated at 100 million euros. His current contract is valid until the summer of 2030.

This season in La Liga, the Argentine striker has appeared in 12 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists.
