Former Soviet Union national team goalkeeper Anzor Kavazashvili shared his thoughts on improving the playing style of the Russian national football team. On November 12, the Russian national team played to a 1-1 draw against Peru in a BetBoom-friendly match.
"I recommend that our national team abandon cross-field passes and stop returning the ball to defenders. Regardless of the result, we need to establish an attacking style of football," Kavazashvili said in an interview with "RB Sport."
Additionally, Kavazashvili criticized Russian national team head coach Valery Karpin's decision to summon players from foreign leagues, calling it illogical. He emphasized the need to provide more opportunities to young players in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
