The summer of 2026 is expected to be a unique historical period for world football. This is because the World Championship will be held simultaneously in three countries - the USA, Canada, and Mexico - for the first time. While the hosts are continuing intensive preparations, the qualifying matches held in different regions are intensifying.
The struggle is also in full swing on the European continent. Following the next qualifying round, the names of the two new top teams qualifying for the World Cup have been announced. They are Norway and Portugal.
Norway, led by Haaland, achieved a historic result
The Norwegian team, led by Erling Haaland, defeated Italy 4-1 in a very important away match. This victory strengthened their lead in Group "I" and provided them with a worthy ticket to the World Cup.
