Laporta Says He Was Not Surprised by Xavi's Actions

Barcelona President Joan Laporta shared his thoughts about Xavi. According to Laporta, the former captain and coach’s participation in an opposition event did not surprise him.

"The club's presidential election will be held between March 15 and June 15. I want to set an exact date soon.

We want to choose an option that has the least impact on the team. Xavi’s participation in an opposition event did not surprise me.

He has already been in contact with Victor Font. I will not comment on Font’s or anyone else’s statements, as doing so would imply that I am joining the election campaign myself," Laporta said in an interview with Barca Universal.
