Spain draws with Turkey

As part of the qualification phase for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Spanish national team played to a 2-2 draw against Turkey on home turf. Following this result, "La Roja" head coach Luis de la Fuente shared his thoughts.

"We realized that winning in this match is not always easy. Sometimes, it is helpful to remember that.

It is not easy to win consistently in a packed match schedule. At the same time, we are satisfied that we showcased our style of play and secured qualification for the World Cup," the specialist said in an interview with UEFA's press service.

The Spanish national team accumulated 16 points, securing first place in their group and earning a direct ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
