The capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, gathered thousands of sports enthusiasts from different nationalities, different teams, and thousands of people in one field for several days thanks to the Islamic Solidarity Games. This world-class competition officially concluded yesterday. The closing ceremony, held in the evening program, not only put a beautiful end to the competition, but also was remembered for the sincere gratitude of the hosts.
During the ceremony, a significant symbolic moment took place in the center of the stage: the flag of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association was solemnly handed over to the host of the upcoming Games - Malaysia. Thus, the sports festival moved to its next destination and awakened in everyone the anticipation of new competitions.
In particular, the high results of the Uzbekistan delegation became one of the main reviews of this year's Games. Our athletes won 29 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze medals, successfully taking second place in the overall team standings. This is not only glory, but also another practical proof of the sustainable growth of the country's sports policy and the potential of youth.
The games in Riyadh became an inspiring reality for millions. Thousands of young athletes were inspired by this competition, and new plans and goals were formed for the coaches. There is great hope that the next games in Malaysia will be held at an even higher level.
This time, Uzbekistan spoke its word. There is no doubt that in the upcoming competitions, he will participate in a stronger, more confident, and more enthusiastic manner.
