At the “Champions League 2025” judo club tournament held in Belgrade, Uzbek judokas once again recorded a bright result on the international stage. Four members of the national team competed as part of various clubs and participated successfully.
The French team “Paris Saint-Germain”, in which Olympic medalist Alisher Yusupov performed, defeated the Serbian club “Red Star” with a score of 4:2 in the final and became the winner of the European Champions League. It was noted that Yusupov’s confident performance in the decisive match gave the team a significant advantage.
Also, three more Uzbeks — Muzzaffarbek To‘raboev, Shahrams Akhadov and Shahradkhoja Sharipov — who competed as part of Kazakhstan’s “Zhenis” club, finished the tournament with bronze medals.
The major tournament in Belgrade once again proved that the skill and preparation of Uzbek judokas are at a high level.
