
In the 12th round of the Turkish Super League, Istanbul Bashakshehir, led by Nuri Shahin, hosted Trabzonspor at home and suffered a convincing 3-4 defeat. The leader of the Uzbekistan national team, Eldor Shomurodov, scored another goal during the match, providing a great assist to his team.
Red card and Shomurodov's goal
The match began dramatically: in the 10th minute, Bashakshehir player Festi Ebosele was sent off for a red card. The 10-man hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a goal from a penalty by Davy Zelke (1-0). Felipe Augusto equalized in the 37th minute. However, in the 45th minute, Eldor Shomurodov scored a brilliant header after a pass from his teammate, securing his team's 2-1 victory at halftime.
Last-minute intensity
The intensity didn't stop in the second half either. In the 76th minute, Paul Onuachu converted a penalty to equalize the score (2:2) and caught up with our compatriot on the scoring list. Just a minute later, Trabzonspor forward Ernest Muchi scored his team's third goal (2-3). In stoppage time, Yildirim brought the score to 3-3, a heroic result for Bashakshehir. However, in the 90+11th minute, Ernest Muchi scored his second goal, securing the victory for the visitors (3:4).
Following this defeat, Istanbul Bashakshehir remained in 13th place with 13 points. Trabzonspor secured third place with 28 points.
