Is Barcelona Left Empty-Handed? Inacio Nears Move to Liverpool

Gonçalo Inácio, the central defender for Lisbon's "Sporting" club, may soon transfer to "Liverpool". In recent months, the 24-year-old player had garnered interest from "Barcelona".

The Catalan club has been searching for players to strengthen their defensive line. However, according to the portal CaughtOffside, "Liverpool" is considering Gonçalo Inácio as an alternative option to "Crystal Palace" defender Marc Guéhi.

The "Reds" are planning to sign a new central defender during the January transfer window. According to Transfermarkt, Inácio's transfer price is estimated at 45 million euros.

His current contract with "Sporting" runs until mid-2027. Prior to this, "Manchester United" had also expressed interest in the player.
