The table presented for the "Three Colors" is this time more serious and competitive: they plan to compete in Group "I" with Senegal, Norway, and the winner of the intercontinental playoffs (Iraq, Bolivia, or Suriname).
According to the coach, this list of opponents clearly indicates that France faces a serious test. He noted that despite the fact that the final opponent has not yet been determined, Senegal and Norway themselves are making the group one of the most difficult sections of the tournament. Speaking about this, Deschamps noted that this is the reality inherent in the World Cup - a high level of struggle, unexpected results, and the need for full concentration in every match.
Although the dates of the matches have been confirmed, it is not yet known where the French national team will play. Nevertheless, the team has information about the common territory and logistics, which somewhat simplifies the preparation process.
Mr. Deschamps also commented on the draw. According to him, the event was held in a true American style - a comprehensive stage, show elements, and details that separately showcase the culture of each country. "We will adapt to these conditions, of course, but it took some time to understand who will be the opponent," the coach jokingly noted. Not only that, but he also mentioned with a smile that the ceremony lasted quite a long time.
This group is certainly difficult for French fans, but it's interesting accordingly. A team with a strong, experienced, and ambitious composition will once again have the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and character. The coach's mood is also positive - a good signal for the upcoming big trials.
