Borussia Dortmund is well aware of top clubs showing interest in their central defender Nico Schlotterbeck. The 26-year-old player has reportedly been a target for Real Madrid for several months.
Recently, "Los Blancos" lost Éder Militão to a serious injury, sidelining him for an extended period. As a result, the club has been focusing more intently on strengthening their central defense.
Upon receiving this news, Borussia's management increased Schlotterbeck's transfer price to €60 million, according to Defensa Central. The player's current contract is set to expire in one and a half years, although "The Black and Yellows" hope to extend it.
Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Liverpool are also reportedly in the race to sign Nico Schlotterbeck. Negotiations are expected to potentially begin in January.
