The head coach of Liverpool, Arne Slot, commented on the potential return of forward Mohamed Salah to the team after the Africa Cup of Nations. It should be noted that Salah will participate in the tournament as part of the Egyptian national team.
Earlier, Salah had made cautious statements suggesting he might not return to Liverpool after the tournament. "When he is here, he is a Liverpool player.
If necessary, I want to use him. Today, when he was on the field, he played in a way every fan wanted to see," the club's press service quoted Slot as saying.
According to reports, Salah had criticized Slot after being benched for three consecutive matches, two of which he did not play at all. Following this, the coach excluded the forward from the Champions League roster for the match against Inter.
Later, a conversation occurred between the coach and the player, after which Salah was reinstated in the squad for the Premier League clash against Brighton. He entered the match in the 26th minute and distinguished himself with an assist.
