Former Russian national team striker Dmitriy Bulykin shared his thoughts on how PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov could secure a spot in the starting lineup. He expressed these views in an interview with the publication “Euro-Football.Ru.”
Bulykin emphasized that Safonov has potential, but everything depends on his performance during matches for PSG. “Certainly, there are opportunities.
The issue lies in how he demonstrates himself during PSG’s games. If he maintains a clean sheet, as he did in the Champions League, the management might reconsider who should be the first-choice goalkeeper.
The most important thing is to avoid serious mistakes,” noted Bulykin. Safonov made an appearance in PSG’s starting lineup in the Ligue 1 Round 16 match against “Metz.”
In the game, PSG secured a 3-2 victory. PSG currently leads the French championship standings with 36 points.
