Burak Yilmaz Dismissed as Head Coach of Gaziantep

Former Turkish striker and current coach Burak Yılmaz has been dismissed from his position as the head coach of "Gaziantep." This was announced by the press service of the Turkish Süper Lig club.

Interestingly, under Yılmaz’s leadership, the provincial club was not performing poorly. Currently, "Gaziantep" is in 7th place with 23 points.

The team is 6 points behind the 4th position, which grants a spot in European competitions. Nevertheless, "Gaziantep" has managed to win only once in their last five Süper Lig matches.

The 40-year-old coach took charge of "Gaziantep" at the start of the season. Previously, he served as an interim head coach at "Beşiktaş" and also held head coach roles at "Kayserispor" and "Kasımpaşa."

Yılmaz ended his playing career in 2023 at the Dutch club "Fortuna," having played for the Turkish national team until 2022.
