FIFA Awards Record Prize: Uzbekistan to Receive at Least $10.5 Million

Record Prize from FIFA: Uzbekistan to Earn at Least $10.5 Million

The FIFA Council has officially approved the allocation of a record-breaking financial package of $727 million for the 2026 World Cup. This figure marks a 50 percent increase compared to the previous World Cup held in Qatar. According to English journalist Ben Jacobs, this unprecedented amount will be distributed among the national teams participating in the tournament.

Guaranteed Millions for Uzbekistan

Every team that qualifies for the 2026 World Cup, including Uzbekistan's national team, will receive $1.5 million to prepare for the tournament. Additionally, teams that finish in the 33rd to 48th positions will be awarded $9 million.

This means that as soon as our national team steps onto the fields in America, at least $10.5 million will be guaranteed to enter the federation's accounts.

Performance-Based Bonuses

If our team progresses to subsequent stages, the prize money granted by FIFA will increase significantly:

  • 17th-32nd positions: $11 million;
  • 9th-16th positions: $15 million;
  • 5th-8th positions: $19 million;
  • 4th position: $27 million;
  • 3rd position: $29 million;
  • Runner-up (2nd position): $33 million;
  • World Champion: $50 million.

World Cup Schedule: What Awaits Us?

As a reminder, the 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 to July 19. Uzbekistan's national team is set to take the field during the group stage on the following dates:

  • June 17: Colombia vs. Uzbekistan
  • June 23: Portugal vs. Uzbekistan

We wish our representatives not only financial success but also stunning victories in this historic tournament!
