Laporta Accuses Real Madrid of Using Unethical Tactics Against Barcelona

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta shared his latest thoughts on the club's complex relationship with Real Madrid. The 63-year-old Spanish executive did not explicitly name anyone, but there was little doubt about the target of his remarks.

«I want to issue a warning: our successes are provoking a great deal of envy. They are responding in an utterly vile manner, ignoring any ethical standards and resorting to various unscrupulous methods.

I think everyone understands which club I am referring to. They are making constant efforts to discredit us.

The issue concerns those behind that despicable television program: they spread lies and attempt to influence public opinion,» Diario AS quoted Laporta as saying. Currently, Barcelona leads the La Liga standings, holding a four-point advantage over Real Madrid.
