UEFA Sanctions Bayern for Sporting and Arsenal Matches


UEFA has announced disciplinary measures following Bayern Munich's matches against Sporting and Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League. This information was published on UEFA's official website.

During the game against Sporting, Bayern Munich fans were found to have obstructed public passageways and used pyrotechnics. As a result, UEFA has imposed the following penalties on the club: a previously suspended sanction was activated, leading to the closure of sectors 111–114 in Bayern Munich's stadium during their next home Champions League match. Additionally, the southern stand has been conditionally ordered to close for one European competition match, with a probation period of two years.

The total fines amounted to €46,000. Furthermore, during the match against Arsenal, incidents involving public order violations, the throwing of objects onto the pitch, and the use of illegal banners were recorded, leading to an additional fine of €70,000 levied against Bayern Munich.
