Sports Physician Safonov Confirms Quick Recovery from Injury


Sports doctor Nikita Karlitskiy has commented on the recovery timeline of PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. Earlier, it was reported that Safonov sustained a small bone fragment separation in his hand during a penalty shootout.

According to reports, the Russian goalkeeper could return to the field in approximately three to four weeks. Karlitskiy stated that such injuries usually heal very well, and since the injury is in the hand, he does not believe the recovery will take more than three weeks.

He shared this opinion during an interview with Match TV. This season, the 26-year-old Safonov has played in four matches across all competitions.

He conceded three goals and managed to keep two clean sheets.
