Liverpool issues statement on Isak's injury

“Liverpool” forward Alexander Isak has undergone surgery following a serious injury sustained during the Premier League match against “Tottenham.” This was reported by the English club's press service.

Medical examinations revealed damage to the ankle joint, which was complicated by a small fibula fracture. As a result, the Swedish forward required surgery.

The timeline for the player’s return to the field has not yet been specified; however, earlier reports indicated that recovery could take several months. Isak transferred from “Newcastle” to “Liverpool” at the beginning of this season for €145 million.
