Matchday 18 of Italy’s Serie A kicked off with a game between Cagliari and Milan in Sardinia. The Rossoneri managed a 1–0 win, with Milan’s Portuguese forward Rafael Leao providing the decisive contribution by scoring the needed goal.
In the 50th minute, Leao’s lone goal secured the victory for his team. It was the only goal of the match and decided a tough game for “Milan”, earning the side important points.
Milan’s new signing, German striker Niklas Fullkrug, came on from the bench in the 69th minute and made his debut. It was his first appearance for the new club.
With 38 points, “Milan” moved to the top of the standings, overtaking Inter (36 points) and climbing above them. Cagliari stayed 14th with 18 points.
Other Milan players also delivered strong performances: beyond Leao’s goal, their defensive work and overall team effort were highly effective. Cagliari’s chances, meanwhile, were limited.
