As Andijan continue to seriously strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, the club has officially announced another key transfer. According to the press service, experienced striker Martin Boakye, a citizen of Italy and Ghana, has returned to the Eagles once again.
The club said talks with the player ended positively and the parties have officially signed a contract. This means Andijan have decided to work once more with a forward who brings experience and a strong sense for goals to the attacking line.
Notably, Boakye is no stranger to Andijan fans. Back in 2021, he played half a season for the Eagles. Moreover, he began his career in Uzbekistan именно with Andijan — and now he has returned to the same destination again.
For reference, Martin Boakye was born on February 10, 1995. Over his career he has tested himself in several countries’ leagues, featuring for clubs such as Solesineke (Italy), Kitzbyuxel (Austria), Xoxenems (Austria), Jeness Esh (Luxembourg), Slaven (Croatia), OKMK (Uzbekistan), Sindao (China), Buriram United (Thailand) and Boluspor (Turkey).
Before joining Andijan, Boakye played in Turkey’s league for Boluspor. He recorded 3 goals and 2 assists in 19 matches there.
Overall, Boakye has so far scored 111 goals in 308 professional matches and provided 16 assists. These numbers highlight the striker’s key trait: he doesn’t just work hard—he delivers results.
