Surxon boost their attack: Nigerian Steven Chinedu officially joins

The Termez club officially announced it is strengthening the squad with a new foreign signing. According to the club’s press service, Nigerian striker Steven Chinedu has joined the team.
The official statement says a “1+1” contract has been signed with the 26-year-old. In other words, if the club is satisfied, it can extend the partnership for one more season. This shows Surxon’s management approached the transfer in a planned and cautious way, not with a “we’ll see and decide later” mindset.
Chinedu’s position is a central striker. That means Surxon are determined to strengthen one of the key areas ahead of the new season — scoring goals. Fans, naturally, are waiting for one thing: for the new foreign player to adapt quickly and deliver results on the pitch.
According to the club, Steven Chinedu has gained experience in several countries:
- 2019–2021: Croatia — Hajduk and Dugopolje
- 2021/22 season: Albania — Dinamo City
- 2022/23 season: Croatia — Solin
- 2023–2025: Bosnia and Herzegovina — Široki Brijeg
- 2025: Serbia — Radnički, then Radnik (Surdulica)
In short, Chinedu’s football geography is wide: he arrives at Surxon as a striker seasoned in Balkan and Croatian leagues. Now there’s one main question: can he turn that experience into goals in the Surkhan Valley? Fans will see the answer on the field.
