The Karagyumryuk vs. Bashakshehir clash in the 3rd round of the Turkish Cup became a real show for the fans. While the match was still ongoing, the most discussed aspect was that our compatriots Eldor Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullayev were playing in the starting lineup and directly contributing to their team's resounding victory.
From the third minute onwards, "Bashakshehir" gripped the game tightly. In the 7th minute, Abbosbek Fayzullayev scored his team's first goal, opening the scoring. This goal significantly changed both the tempo on the field and the opponent's morale: before Karagyumryuk could recover, Bashakshehir pressed again.
In the 22nd minute, it was Eldor Shomurodov's turn - he scored the team's second goal, bringing the score to 0:2. The two consecutive goals of the Uzbek players were an ideal start for the Istanbul club.
However, anxiety mixed with joy also arose: four minutes later, Shomurodov was forced to leave the field due to a minor injury. Although this episode affected the mood of the game, "Bashakshehir" did not lose overall control.
In the 5th minute of the second half, Miguel Crespo extended the lead to three. In the 65th minute, Ivan Brnich scored another goal, widening the lead - 4:0. In the 79th minute, Karagyumryuk player Kone reduced the deficit to one, but there were no further changes on the scoreboard until the end of the game. Thus, Bashakshehir secured a convincing 4-1 victory, securing three points.
In short, this match created a special mood for Uzbek fans: Fayzullayev illuminated the start with a quick goal, and Shomurodov once again showed his sense of scoring. Now, the main thing is that Eldor's injury shouldn't be serious. That's what the fans are waiting for: to have more compatriots on the field and more goals.
