Despite the defeat, Shipilov expressed hope for Qo'qon-1912's performance

The Bukhara vs. Qo'qon-1912 match, part of the first round of the Uzbekistan Super League, ended in a 1-0 victory for the hosts. The head coach of the Kokand team, Andrey Shipilov, participated in the post-match press conference and shared his thoughts on his impressions of the game, the team's movements, and the problems in the attack. From his words, it was clear that, despite the defeat, the coach was satisfied with the fighting spirit of his team.
Andrey Shipilov first congratulated everyone on the start of the new season and expressed a warm and calm opinion about the meeting. He emphasized that a beautiful, intense, and full-fledged clash took place on the field. The coach said it wouldn't be right to accuse his players of playing poorly or being less motivated than their opponents. On the contrary, in his opinion, the team worked until the end, did not stop fighting on the field until the last minute.
Shipilov also noted that after the match, he said warm and encouraging words to his players in the locker room, not criticism. This, of course, shows how much importance the coach attaches to maintaining the psychological atmosphere within the team. According to him, such situations happen in football, and sometimes, even if you play well, the result may not be on your side.
At the same time, the coach admitted that the team started the match somewhat uncertainly. He said that they would definitely analyze the reasons for this situation, why they lacked the expected confidence and calmness in the first minutes. Anxiety, according to Shipilov, may have been an important factor in this. Because this was the first match of the new season, and in the first round, such psychological pressure is observed in almost every team.
The Kokand coach also emphasized that his team didn't deserve defeat in today's game. He believes that if the team continues to play with the same enthusiasm and aspiration, results will certainly come. That is, it was noticeable that Shipilov perceived this defeat not as a tragedy, but as a painful, but useful lesson encountered along the way. At the same time, he did not forget to congratulate the opponent on the victory.
At the press conference, a question was also asked about the composition of "Kokand-1912." The journalist noted that the team made a good impression on everyone from the goalkeeper to the forwards, but the attacking line, in particular, did not perform as expected today. Answering this question, Shipilov said that it was necessary to look deeper into the situation.
In his opinion, the strikers might have seemed unremarkable simply because they didn't score. In reality, they performed a large amount of work on the field. The coach emphasized that dividing the team into individual lines isn't entirely accurate; football is played by the entire team. Through this idea, he explained that it is not right to blame the forwards individually, that scoring or conceding a goal is a process related to the game of the whole team.
According to Shipilov, there were opportunities in the offensive line as well. In the second half, "Kokand-1912" managed to create several dangerous situations, and also had the opportunity to use corner and free kicks. But most importantly, there was a lack of accuracy in turning these chances into goals. For the coach, it doesn't matter who scores the goal, what matters is that the team makes the decisive shot that affects the score. This once again demonstrated his approach that relies on team football.
Andrey Shipilov also touched upon the training camps held in Turkey. According to him, during the training camp, all the players tried to make a good impression. In friendly matches, not only the forwards scored goals, but also other line representatives. Therefore, the coach is confident in this direction. Therefore, he considers today's goalless draw not a systemic problem, but rather a situation specific to a particular game.
In short, Andrey Shipilov's thoughts indicate that despite the defeat, "Kokand-1912" has not lost its internal confidence. The team is still at the beginning of the new season, the process of excitement, adaptation, and finding the rhythm of the game is ongoing. If the Kokand team continues with this spirit and work, as the coach said, good results can still be expected from them. No points came in the first round, but according to Shipilov's statement, the team has confidence and hope for the future.
