In one of the key matches of the second round of the Super League, reigning champions Neftchi played away against Surkhon in Termez. Having started the season in high spirits, the Fergana team once again demonstrated their strength and secured a convincing victory on the opponent's field. Thus, the Croatian forward became one of the true heroes of this match. His second goal further solidified Neftchi's dominance and almost decided the outcome of the match.
The final goal of the match was scored by Jovan Jokić in the 73rd minute. He put his name on the scoreboard and brought the score to 3:0. After that, the intrigue on the field almost disappeared, and "Neftchi" confidently finished the game.
Following this result, Islombek Ismoilov's team won their second consecutive match, further increasing their points and taking the lead in the tournament table. Playing at the start of the season in line with their championship ambitions, the team has already sent a serious signal to their opponents.
For Surkhan, however, the situation is becoming much more difficult. The team has no points after two rounds. This indicates the need for serious work on the lineup, game discipline, and offensive effectiveness in subsequent matches.
In short, the current champion has once again proven his status in practice. "Neftchi" not only won in Termez, but also sent warnings to their opponents with confidence, pressure, and goals. If the team continues in this spirit, it's no coincidence that it will be considered the main favorite at the start of the season.
