Budø-Glimt head coach Ketil Knutsen commented on the heavy home defeat (0-5) against Sporting in the Champions League round of 16 second leg.
Knutsen emphasized that the team thought about the outcome of the first match, and the players failed to demonstrate their usual potential. The opponent, however, only tried to win, which further increased the gap on the field. According to him, "Budø-Glimt's" performance was noticeable only in some episodes and gave little results in the overall movement.
"The team couldn't show their football. The players took to the field, thinking about the result of the first game. The opponent thought only of victory. In this match, our performance was only seen in certain episodes," Knutsen said.
Thus, Sporting secured a spot in the quarter-finals and will face Arsenal in the next round.
Knutsen emphasized that this heavy defeat will serve as an important lesson for the team and will be the basis for further strengthening of tactics and concentration in upcoming matches.
