Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season. This was announced by Pep Guardiola's assistant Pep Leinders after the 4-0 FA Cup win over Liverpool.
Leinders stressed that Bernardo Silva has an irreplaceable place in the team. "There are very few players like Silva, Bernardo is a unique player. He controls the game, makes intelligent decisions and leads the team. He can see the decisions and solutions. His absence is felt in just one game, now imagine the whole season," Leinders said.
He added that he hopes Bernardo will enjoy his final months and that he will have the chance to say a fitting farewell in the remaining six rounds: "Every good story has to come to an end. Let him enjoy his final months at the club. He deserves it."
Bernardo Silva has been at Manchester City since 2017 and has won 19 major trophies with the club, including the Champions League and six Premier League titles.
