Real Madrid defender Raul Asensio's personal feud with coach Alvaro Arbeloa has led to his absence from the pitch in recent games. According to sources in Marca, the dispute between Asensio and Arbeloa led to this situation.
It turns out that when Arbeloa decided to leave him on the bench for the Champions League match against Manchester City, Asensio was very angry and spoke to the coach personally. Although he was later scheduled to start in the starting lineup against Elche, Asensio went to the coach with a doctor and told him that he had a minor muscle injury and was not ready to play. This situation greatly upset Arbeloa.
Meanwhile, Antonio Rüdiger, who was supposed to be rested, was also told he would have to play against Elche, a decision the German was unhappy with.
Arbeloa left Asensio out of the squad for the matches against Elche, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid for failing to apologise to the team, even though Asensio had been actively involved in training.
