The 31st round of the Spanish La Liga started unfavorably for Real Madrid. The Madrid club, in front of its own fans, failed to defeat Girona and dropped valuable points.
The home match ended in a 1:1 draw, and now the team is six points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona, despite having played one more match. This has significantly complicated Real Madrid’s chances in the title race.
After the match, Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa commented on the result and the lost points. According to him, the team does not always use its full potential.
“To beat any opponent, you need to play at 200% of your ability. But we often do not even use 90% of our potential.
If you want to play confidently against weaker or equal teams, you must give your maximum in every match. Otherwise, such losses will keep repeating again and again,” Arbeloa said.
This draw has further complicated Real Madrid’s title challenge and increased pressure on the team.
